Seller Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 2026

Eligibility to Use the Platform

To register as a seller you must be at least 18 years old, operate a real shop within haul's current pilot service area, and be able to enter into a binding agreement under Indian law. If you register on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms. haul may decline or revoke an onboarding request where eligibility cannot be confirmed.

Account Registration and Obligations

Seller accounts are created by haul during onboarding and require accurate legal/trade name, contact details, pickup address, and bank account information for settlement. You are responsible for keeping this information current — outdated banking or contact details can delay your payouts or order notifications, and haul is not liable for delays caused by information you have not kept up to date.

Confidentiality and Account Security

You must keep your seller dashboard credentials confidential and are responsible for all activity under your account, including listings created, orders accepted, and payout details changed. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify haul immediately so the account can be secured.

Seller Account Deactivation

You may request closure of your seller account at any time. haul may also deactivate an account for sustained policy violations or repeated fulfilment failures. In either case, closure is subject to settling any outstanding dues and completing any orders already in progress; core transaction records are retained afterward as required for tax and audit purposes even once the account itself is closed.

Seller Account Hold

haul may place a temporary hold on a seller account — pausing new orders without deleting your data — while investigating a buyer dispute, suspected fraud, or a product-quality or compliance concern. A hold is lifted once the investigation concludes; if it results in a confirmed violation, the account may proceed to deactivation under the previous clause instead.

Communications

By registering as a seller you agree to receive operational communications from Haul Technologies Pvt Ltd about new orders, payout confirmations, policy changes, and account status — these are core to operating your storefront and are separate from any optional marketing communications, which you may opt out of independently.

Platform for Transactions and Communication

haul provides the technology platform, riders, and payment rails that connect sellers with buyers; it is not a party to the underlying sale of goods. Product quality, listing accuracy, and fulfilment of the sale itself are the seller's responsibility. haul does not guarantee any particular volume of sales and is not liable for a buyer's decision to keep or return an item.

Use of the Platform

The seller dashboard and related tools may be used only for legitimate management of your haul storefront, product catalogue, and orders — not for unrelated commercial activity, scraping, or attempts to circumvent haul's systems (including price or commission calculations). haul may suspend access where the dashboard is used outside its intended purpose.

Selling

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of product listings, pricing, available sizes, and stock levels, and for fulfilling accepted orders within the pack-time window shown in the seller dashboard. You must hold any licenses or permits required to sell the listed items, and listings must not infringe another party's intellectual property or misrepresent the product's condition.

Income Tax Compliance

Sellers are solely responsible for their own income tax obligations arising from sales made through haul, including maintaining a valid PAN where TDS deduction under applicable tax law requires it. Where haul is required by law to withhold tax at source, it will do so and make the corresponding certificate available to you; reconciling that against your own filings remains your responsibility.

Content Posted on the Platform

Sellers are responsible for the product photos, descriptions, and other content they upload, and must ensure it is accurate and does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or privacy rights. haul may remove content that violates this or applicable law, and may use listing content (e.g. product photos) to promote the storefront on the platform while the listing remains live.

Limited License

By posting content, sellers grant haul a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform and in related in-app or on-site marketing for as long as the listing is live. Separately, haul grants sellers a limited, non-transferable license to reference the haul name on packaging and invoices strictly for orders fulfilled through the platform — not for any other use of haul's branding.

Payment Terms

Buyer payments are collected by haul through its payment processor at checkout and settled to sellers net of haul's commission, according to the payout schedule described below. haul is authorised to withhold amounts related to disputed, refunded, or fraudulent transactions until they are resolved.

Dispatch of Products

Sellers must have accepted orders packed and ready for rider pickup within the pack-time window shown on each order in the seller dashboard. Repeated failure to have orders ready on time may affect your standing on the platform and, in serious cases, lead to an account hold.

Payment Remittance to Sellers

Seller earnings settle weekly. A paid order moves from pending to payable once its return window has closed (the return window is the number of days you have set for your store, from 0 up to 7) — this ensures any return on that order is netted out before you are paid, rather than clawed back afterward. haul's commission is retained regardless of whether an item is later returned, since the sale itself was completed.

Logistics and Shipping

Delivery and return pickups are arranged by haul through its logistics partners; sellers are responsible only for handing off packed orders to the rider at the agreed pickup time. Repeated dispatch delays that cause missed pickups may result in the order being cancelled and, for sustained non-compliance, an account hold.

Fee / Commission Policy

haul charges a commission on each completed sale — 15% by default — shown in your seller dashboard and in your earnings statements. Commission rates may be revised with prior notice to sellers; any change applies to orders placed after the new rate takes effect, not retroactively.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) Compliance

Sellers are responsible for their own GST registration and compliance where applicable, including charging the correct rate and issuing GST-compliant invoices with accurate GSTIN and HSN details for their listings. Any liability arising from incorrect tax information you provide is yours, not haul's.

Compliance with Laws

Sellers must comply with all applicable laws relating to the sale of their products, including consumer protection, product labelling, and safety requirements. Listing counterfeit, unsafe, or legally restricted goods is prohibited and will result in listing removal and may result in account deactivation.

Anti-Corruption Policy

Sellers agree not to offer, give, solicit, or accept bribes or improper payments in connection with their use of the haul platform, including to haul staff. A confirmed violation is grounds for immediate account termination.

Product Description

Listings must accurately describe the product, including size, fabric or material, and condition, and must not be misleading. If a delivered item materially does not match its listing, the resulting return is handled under haul's standard return process, and repeated mismatches may be treated as a listing-accuracy violation.

Audits

haul may periodically review seller listings, fulfilment records, and account activity to verify compliance with these terms. Where such a review is conducted in the ordinary course, haul bears the cost; where it uncovers a confirmed compliance breach, associated costs may be passed on to the seller.

Breach and Enforcement

Breach of these terms may result in listing removal, a temporary account hold, or account deactivation, depending on severity and whether the issue is repeated. haul will generally give notice and an opportunity to correct minor issues before escalating, except where the violation is serious (e.g. counterfeit goods, fraud) and warrants immediate action.

Indemnity

Sellers agree to indemnify and hold haul harmless against claims, costs, or damages arising from their products, listings, tax non-compliance, or any breach of these terms, including claims brought by buyers or third parties as a result of the seller's conduct.

Trademark, Copyright, and Restrictions

The haul name, logo, and platform design remain haul's property and may not be used by sellers beyond what is expressly permitted in the Limited License clause above — for example, sellers may not use haul branding to imply an endorsement or partnership beyond being a listed seller.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, haul's liability to a seller arising from use of the platform is limited to the commission haul collected on the affected order, and haul is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost future sales.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru.

Sale in India Only

The haul seller platform currently supports sales to buyers located within haul's Indian pilot service area only; it is not intended for cross-border sale or fulfilment.
